Even though we review a lot of stand mixers, KitchenAid remains one of our favorites. These are some well made mixers, they do a great job and last a long time.
Kitchen Aid is a kitchen appliance manufacturer that have been around for decades, and their reputation spans the generations. Their mixers are not only used by professional chefs but everyday cooks as well. When the original mixers arrived on the scene, they were bulky, difficult to store, and typically very expensive. But because of their popularity, more modern mixers have been added to the line each year, and KitchenAid continue to innovate to create tools that are easier and more user-friendly than ever.
A Mixer That Can Do Everything
The KitchenAid stand mixers have many benefits, but perhaps the most important is that it allows women (and some men) to knead dough and make delicious cookies. Even though KitchenAid mixers have come a long way, their older mixers still have an airbrushed, curved shape. The original mixers were developed for commercial use, although they have come a long way since then. With a sleek, bright red design and colorful, curved panels, today’s Kitchenaid stand mixer is almost as attractive as it is helpful. For the serious baker, owning a KitchenAid mixer isn’t just a symbol of an avid commitment to creating sweet, tasty baked goods; it’s a way of life.
While the KitchenAid professional line is geared toward professional chefs, their smaller and cheaper regular lines provide a great option for amateurs. The basic stand mixer, with its two wheels and two steel bearings, is perfect for mixing dough or batters. The larger models with four wheels and a steel shaft are better for mixing soups and sauces. They also have a capacity of up to thirty cups, which is enough for most home cooks’ recipes.
Quality, reliability, plenty of attachments that can be purchased later all add up to an excellent stand mixer. You will find less expensive appliances and you will find appliances that offer more features, but you won’t find a stand mixer that offers more overall quality than a KitchenAid.
